HEAD, MONOGRAPHIC CATALOGING
North Carolina State University Libraries is seeking a talented
cataloger and forward thinking librarian to manage monographic
cataloging. Reporting to the Head of Cataloging, the Head of Monographic
Cataloging and a staff of seven paraprofessionals provide description
and subject analysis for materials in a wide variety of formats and
languages. NCSU librarians work in a rich environment of innovation and
collaboration.

The successful will candidate will have: Current knowledge of cataloging
principles and standards; A proven record of effectiveness in leading
the work of others, preferably with supervisory experience; Excellent
communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ALA-accredited
MLS or equivalent advanced degree in library or information science,
with at least two to three years relevant experience.

Minimum salary: $43,000
