**This workshop will be held on Friday, July 11 AND Saturday July 12, 2003
from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To earn graduate credit you must attend both
days.**

Various aspects of preservation will be covered in this workshop, including
care and handling of general collections, disaster response and prevention,
repair decisions as related to collection development and reformatting of
brittle materials. You will gain a more complete understanding of the
factors that influence the life span of print and non-print materials and
will also develop skills to make repair decisions, respond to disasters, and
plan for water and fire damage.

This workshop is worth one graduate credit! You must have a bachelor's
degree or be enrolled as a Kent State University student in order to
