Chapter Annual Meeting

Thursday, August 21, 2003

6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

 

Join us for a visit to the Strong Bindery, a custom bindery in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood. Dinner follows at Primo Vino, a short walk away. Both sites have small parking lots, so car-pooling may be helpful.



6:00     Visit to Strong Bindery, Room 201, 2026 Murray Hill, Cleveland OH 44106. Park in lot on south side of Murray Hill School Galleries Building  -(216)231-0001

 

7:15     Dinner at Primo Vino, 12511 Mayfield, Cleveland OH 44106. Park in Lots on East 126  by Primo Vino -(216)229-3334

 

Ellen Strong has bound and repaired books for the Cleveland Orchestra, Cleveland Public Library, Cleveland State University, Kent State University, Ohio Archives, Western Reserve Historical Society, and more than 2000 individuals who love books. Before she opened the bindery, she was known to thousands of readers as the owner of Coventry Books. Meet Ellen and see examples of her work. Enjoy the restored Murray School building which is home to a number of art galleries. 

 

Dinner at Primo Vino will be a family-style Italian dinner of antipasto, salad, two pasta selections, a chicken selection, and beverages. Primo Vino is known for a friendly atmosphere and its wine list of 300 Italian wines.

 

Directions: 

FROM DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND: Follow Chester Ave. East to East 79th Street. There is a CITGO station. Turn Right (south) on East 79th. Get into left lane, and turn left (east) at the light, onto Euclid Ave. Follow Euclid to Mayfield Road. Turn right on Mayfield. When you reach Murray Hill, turn right and proceed to 2026 which is on the right. If going directly to Primo Vino, follow Mayfield a short distance to Primo Vino and East 126th Street on the left.

 

FROM I-77 northbound OR I-71 northbound:  Take Downtown Cleveland Innerbelt, and exit at Chester Ave. Follow directions above.

 

FROM I-271: Take exit 34 to US322/Mayfield Road West. Drive west for 8 miles. Primo Vino will be on the right, near E126, and Murray Hill will be on the left. Turn left onto Murray Hill and proceed to 2026
