Invaluable new newsletter and database for information professionals
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
I have just launched a brand new service for information
professionals - for which there is no charge.
The Library Events website will keep you up to date with
all the important events you need to know about to enhance
your professional career and to build up your professional
skills and contacts.
The service consists of a current awareness database, which
is fully searchable, and a monthly newsletter.
You can see it at http://www.libraryevents.com
Here you will find details of:
Training courses from a range of organizations, to help
you plan the next steps in your career development program
Conferences, to keep you up to date with new developments
and current thinking
Exhibitions and trade shows, where you stay informed about
all the new products relevant to your library and
organization, and build up your contacts
Library association meetings, where you can keep up to
date with what's going on in your profession and meet your
professional colleagues
National book and library events in many countries
I am looking for new sources of information to make the
Library Events service truly international in its coverage.
If you can recommend good sources - particularly for
information about training courses for information
professionals please let me know at stuart.urwin at isim.org
You can see the website and the current awareness database
at http://www.libraryevents.com - where you can also sign
up for the newsletter.
Best regards,
Stuart Urwin
