American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T)
Announces Student Travel Awards
The ASIS Special Interest Group on Scientific and Technical Information Systems is offering:
1) A $600 grant to a library and information science student, with an interest or background in biological sciences, to defray the cost of attending the 2003 ASIS national meeting. This money has been made available through a grant from BIOSIS, producer of Biological Abstracts and other biology information services; and
2) A $1,000 grant to a library and information science student, with an interest or background in chemistry or chemical engineering, to defray the cost of attending the 2003 ASIS&T annual meeting. This money has been made available through a grant from Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society.
ASIS&T Annual Meeting 2003: Knowledge, Connections and Community, October 20-23, 2003, The Westin Hotel, Long Beach, CA
Requirements:
1. A demonstrated interest in biology and information science.
2. A current graduate student. Full-time enrollment is not mandatory, but will be given preference.
