(apologies for duplicate postings)
I'm pleased to announce the formation of the Asilomar Institute for
Information Architecture (AIfIA). The AIfIA is a 501c6 non-profit volunteer
organization dedicated to advancing and promoting information architecture
(IA), and supporting its practitioners. Our site's URL is:
http://www.aifia.org/
As AIfIA is a volunteer-driven organization, our full scope of activities
has yet to be defined. We're relying on our members and supporters to
create resources, educational opportunities, promotional materials and an
infrastructure to help practitioners learn more, be more productive,
and be more effective.
We hope you will considering becoming a charter member of the AIfIA, or that
you will pass this information along to someone who might find it of
interest. Please also consider attending our Information Architecture
Leadership Seminar at the ASIS&T Information Architecture Summit, March 20,
2003, in Portland, Oregon, USA: http://aifia.org/calendar/000053.php
