ANNE WOODSWORTH TO BE ACTING PROVOST AND MARIE RADFORD TO BE ACTING DEAN AT
PRATT INSTITUTE
Dr. Thomas F. Schutte, President of Pratt Institute, has appointed Anne
Woodsworth as acting provost effective June 1, 2002/ Woodsworth, currently
the dean of the School of Information and Library Science (SILS) , joined
Pratt in August, 2000. Prior to that Woodsworth had worked at several
private colleges and universities. Her extensive experience includes acting
dean of Education and special assistant to the vice president for Academic
Affairs at Dowling College (Oakdale, New York); dean of the School f Library
and Information Science at Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus, where
she also served as acting dean of the School of Education; and associate
provost and director of University Libraries at the University of
Pittsburgh.
During Woodsworth's term as acting provost, Associate Professor Marie
Radford will serve as acting dean of SILS. Radford holds a Ph.D. in
Communication, Information Studies and Library Science from Rutgers
University and an MSLS from Syracuse University. Prior to arriving at Pratt
in 1996, she was head of Curriculum Materials at William Patterson University
of New Jersey for eleven years.
