start out the day with mini-lectures on topics concerning your Summer
Reading Program and children’s programming. Next you will get candid advice
about crafts as we share what really works and what does not. Then you will
sit back and enjoy a performance by a local musician you can schedule for
your library. After a provided lunch, you will enjoy another performance by
a local performer. And last but not least, you will get the opportunity to
learn about 7 different Bicentennial sub-themes you can use for your Summer
Reading Program! Each Summer Reading committee member will be stationed at a
self-made booth ready to show and give you information about a sub-theme. At
each booth, you will receive a packet with a week’s worth of programming
ideas related to that theme- including crafts, songs and games, related book
selections, presenters and much more. Come to Summer Reading Program 2003
and leave with your library’s Summer Reading Program planned! Summer Reading
2003 is going to be a blast—there will be prizes, food, music, and great
