[Asis-l] Cataloging Music and Books on Tape

On Thursday, August 22, 2002 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Ohio Valley Area
Libraries will host:

CATALOGING MUSIC AND BOOKS ON TAPE with Carol Bradsher, Experiential
Learning

The sound recordings format is a broad one and includes popular and
classical music on cassette or compact disc, and books on tape/CD.  This
workshop will give you the skills to catalog sound recordings confidently,
including the difference in recording a statement of responsibility between
popular and classical music, recording publication dates correctly,
identifying main entry headings for music and spoken word recordings and
describing the physical format for cassettes and compact discs.
Participants are encouraged to bring examples for practice.

This workshop is free to OVAL/MOLO/SOLO members. Non-Member cost is only
$100.00 per person.
