On Wednesday, August 28, 2002 from 10:00 am. to 1:00 p.m., Ohio Valley Area
Libraries Regional Library System will host:

SEARCHING STRATEGIES: INTERNET HEALTH RESOURCES FOR THE HEALTH PROFESSIONAL
with Janice York, Librarian, Ohio Department of Health and Health Promotion
Library

Do patrons frequently ask you how to look up information on the Internet
about health issues?  Do you have difficulty sorting through all the
Internet health materials available in search of credible information?  Then
this workshop is for you!  This workshop will review outstanding health
reference and research Internet sites for librarians and public health
professionals.  Participants will receive a
lecture, demos of web sites with suggested search tips, and examples of how
to answer health reference questions.  Participants will  also have the
opportunity to apply newly learned material with hands-on exercises.
